Equine Ozone Therapy Comes to Ocala: A Weekend of Science, Innovation, and Hands-On Learning

The training was held in partnership with the Equine Performance Innovative Center (EPIC), providing participants with the opportunity to learn in a world-class rehabilitation facility while working directly with horses in a clinical setting. The workshop was intentionally designed to move beyond theory, giving attendees practical experience they could immediately apply in practice.

Building a Strong Scientific Foundation

Hands-On Learning at the Equine Performance Innovative Center

Education is most effective when participants have the opportunity to immediately apply what they learn. Day two was therefore dedicated almost entirely to practical laboratory instruction.

Participants received guided instruction in:

• Medical ozone equipment setup and operation
• Direct Intravenous Injection (DIV)
• Systemic ozone therapy
• Local ozone administration techniques
• Ozonated glycerin applications
• Clinical decision-making and case integration
• Incorporating ozone therapy alongside rehabilitation and regenerative medicine

Under the supervision of experienced instructors, attendees practiced techniques, discussed clinical decision-making, and gained confidence using ozone therapy in real-world equine cases. This hands-on format remains one of the defining characteristics of O3Vets training and reflects our commitment to practical education rather than lecture-only instruction.

One of the greatest strengths of the program was the faculty. Participants learned from internationally respected educators who have dedicated years to advancing veterinary ozone therapy.

Looking Ahead

One of the most rewarding aspects of the weekend was seeing veterinarians leave with not only new knowledge, but also the confidence to begin implementing ozone therapy in their own practices. Our goal has always been to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical clinical application, and this workshop represented another important step toward that mission.
