UC Davis Professor | Surgical Trainer | Integrative Veterinary Specialist
Dr. Alton Raymond graduated from The Ohio State University in 1977. Immediately, he began working in an emergency clinic in Hollywood, CA. He took over as head surgeon for the Animal Medical Centers of Sacramento where he excelled as a surgeon for over fifteen years.
Dr. Raymond is a lifetime learner who developed an interest in blending Eastern and Western medicine in his quest to become the best veterinarian he could be. To that end he studied acupuncture, chiropractic, herbs, stem cells, PRP, cancer vaccines and ozone therapy, becoming certified in a number of these modalities.
From 2010 to 2019, Dr. Raymond had the honor of being selected to teach integrative medicine to students at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in Davis, CA. He has continued to the present training senior and postgraduate students in the art of surgery at his clinic in Placerville, CA where he provides low cost surgeries to those in need.
